Michele
Michele is our gym manager! As academy manager she makes sure everything runs smoothly and always has a contagious smile that will be noticed as soon as you walk through the doors. She is a teacher for the local school district and enjoys spending time with her family, pup, and the outdoors.
Professor Joe
Coach Joe is a brown belt in jiu jitsu, a retired police officer, a father, husband, and probably the most inspiration person in the Hudson Valley. Joe not only understands jiu jitsu to the highest level, but he is able to break down difficult concepts into easy to do mechanics. Joe coaches both kids classes and adults.
Coach Eric
With 30 years of martial arts experience under his belt, Eric brings a diverse skillset to the mats. From a first and second-degree black belt in karate to kickboxing, he thrives on pushing boundaries and exploring new disciplines. Jiu-Jitsu, his latest pursuit for the past 6 years, fuels his passion for physical creativity and staying sharp, both mentally and physically. Eric honed his coaching abilities as a striking instructor at Axios Kickboxing and Koulikov Grappling Academy, and is excited to share his knowledge and help you find your flow in the art of submission grappling.
Coach Omega
Coach Omega or as we call him at ACJJ Coach O! With an unyielding commitment to the art and an infectious personality, Coach O is not just an instructor, but a mentor who ignites the fuel that ACJJ runs on. Known for his warmth and approachability, Coach O is loved by all who cross his path, creating a supportive and inclusive community within our walls. His boundless enthusiasm for Jiu Jitsu is matched only by his genuine care for his students' progress and well-being, making him not just a coach, but a cherished friend and inspiration to all who train under his guidance.
